And on that note, it’s time to publicly thank some wonderful people for backing me on Indiegogo back in March. Without these folks, this book wouldn’t have turned out nearly as good as I think it did. An orc-sized THANK YOU to the following people:

Stephanie Lehenbauer
Samantha Tohtz
Evan Bassett
James Jakins
Rachel Nowlin
Kibret Ledoux
Lisa Richardson
Erica Lindquist
Eileen McNulty
Goran Joksimovic
Alex Haigh
Melissa Shumake

And for their heavy contributions, a very special thank you to

Rachel Sharp
Steven Ott

You are all very rad people and I sincerely hope you find this book worthy of your time and money! Thank you so much!

Finally, IT’S ORCTOBER! I won’t officially start the Orctober posts until Monday but by god, the orcs are here! Beyond this, I’ll be getting back to work on Grimluk 3 as well. I’m already 10,000 words in. Hopefully, I can bang out the first draft before Christmas. For now…celebration!

  1. Congrats on the release! I enjoyed Demon in the Desert very much, and I already have my copy of Demon Haunted lined up on my Kindle.

Have you thought about getting your books into Western > Science Fiction on Amazon (where most of the weird western hangs out)? My fantasy-westerns get pretty decent visibility there. Use Western as one of your categories, then “science fiction” as a keyword. Just noticed your books don’t seem to be in that category, and I think they’d do well there.

Good luck with the new book!

    • I haven’t. I thought about going for western horror but I’m happy with dark fantasy. Thanks! And I hope you liked Demon Haunted as much as the first book.
